About WorkPay
WorkPay provides online calculators, guides and related tools intended to help workers in Ireland understand topics such as pay, deductions, working hours, leave and related employment and payroll matters.
Some features are available free of charge. Additional functionality is available through WorkPay Premium.
Free tools
Standard WorkPay calculators can be used without purchasing Premium and without creating an account.
Results are estimates based on the information you enter and the rules and figures implemented for the tax year you select.
WorkPay does not guarantee that an estimate exactly matches your payroll, a Revenue assessment, your employer’s calculation, or your final legal or tax position.
Not professional advice
WorkPay provides informational tools. It is not a substitute for personalised legal, tax, payroll, financial or employment-law advice.
For decisions requiring professional or official confirmation, consult the relevant Irish authority or an appropriately qualified professional.
This disclaimer does not reduce any statutory consumer rights you may have.
WorkPay Premium
WorkPay Premium is a recurring digital service.
Current plans: €1.99 per month or €14.99 per year.
The applicable price is displayed before Checkout. If the price in the payment provider ever changed, the provider’s price is the one you are charged: this page must not silently contradict it, which is why the figures here come from the same configuration as the pricing page rather than being typed by hand.
Account requirement for Premium
Premium requires a WorkPay account. That is the current product design, and it is deliberate: the account is what lets the Premium entitlement be tied to the subscriber, so it survives changing browser or device.
Premium cannot be bought as a guest.
Free calculators remain available without an account.
Payment processing
Premium payments are processed by Stripe.
WorkPay does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Stripe processes payment information subject to its own terms and privacy practices.
What WorkPay does receive, and needs in order to operate the subscription, are customer, subscription and transaction identifiers and the subscription status. Claiming that WorkPay processes no payment-related information at all would be untrue.
Activation
Premium access begins after the server has confirmed the payment or subscription status, through the Stripe webhook.
Returning to a success URL does not grant Premium on its own.
The browser can never create Premium through local storage, query parameters, URL fragments or any client-side flag. Automated tests attempt exactly that, and they fail if it ever worked.
Automatic renewal
Unless cancelled, Premium renews automatically at the end of the selected monthly or annual billing period, using the payment method available through Stripe.
You are told about the recurring billing before you subscribe.
Cancelling renewal
You can cancel future renewal from your WorkPay dashboard.
The implementation uses cancel_at_period_end. As a result: cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not immediately remove the period you have already paid for; Premium remains available until the end of the current period; and when that period ends, the account returns to the Free tier unless another active subscription exists.
The interface will not tell you that you are a Free user right after you schedule cancellation, because you are not: it shows you the exact date on which Premium ends.
Statutory cancellation and withdrawal rights
The ordinary subscription cancellation described above is separate from the rights Irish and EU law give you as a consumer.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that you may have under Irish or EU consumer law. Consumers buying online have, in distance contracts, a 14-day right to cancel running from when the contract was agreed. Where that right applies, you may exercise it by making a clear statement to WorkPay at diego.bernabeu.martinez@gmail.com.
What happens if you cancel within those 14 days: you get a full refund. No proportionate deduction for the days you used Premium.
The reason, said plainly: the law lets a trader charge for the part already supplied only where it first obtained your express request to begin the service during the cancellation period, in the form the rules require. WorkPay does not ask for that request — there is no such checkbox anywhere in checkout — so nothing proportionate is charged. If that ever changed, this section would change first and say so.
The right to cancel may not apply where digital content or a digital service has been fully supplied and you had agreed in advance that you would lose that right. WorkPay does not assume that consent, does not obtain it by stealth, and does not treat a monthly or yearly subscription as “fully supplied” just because you used it for a few days.
The refund is made using the same payment method and within the statutory time limits.
Sources consulted when writing this section: CCPC, selling digital content or services and Citizens Information, your online shopping rights.
Model cancellation form
You do not have to use this form. Any unequivocal statement that you are cancelling is enough: an email in your own words works exactly the same, and you do not have to give a reason. The form is here because the law requires it to be made available to you, and because some people find it easier to fill in something already written.

You can send it by email or on paper to the address above. If you send it by email, no signature is needed.
Refunds
WorkPay does not operate a blanket “no refunds” policy.
Refund requests will be considered in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law and any statutory rights available to the consumer.
If WorkPay later adopts an additional commercial refund policy, it will be documented separately and can never reduce your statutory rights.
Failed payments
If Stripe reports a failed payment, or the subscription enters a state that no longer grants Premium, WorkPay may restrict Premium access according to the actual subscription state.
A failed payment does not by itself cause your data to be deleted.
Premium features
Only features that exist and work are advertised. The pricing page and the implementation are checked against each other: every claim has a server-side check and a browser test, and an advertised feature that does not work is a release blocker, not a footnote.
Current Premium features include the AI payslip analyser, saving and reopening calculations, account-backed history, scenario comparison, the PDF report, and the ad-free experience.
AI payslip analyser
The AI payslip analyser processes the document you upload through our server and an external AI provider. This is explained in detail in the privacy policy.
The AI output is not guaranteed legal, tax or payroll advice. Verify any material conclusion against your payslip, Revenue information, your employment documentation or a qualified professional.
Documents you upload
Only upload documents you are authorised to process. Do not upload someone else’s payslip without their permission.
Do not upload sensitive information that the analysis does not need.
The privacy policy describes what is transmitted, why, how long it is kept, and which providers are involved.
Availability
WorkPay may maintain, update or temporarily interrupt the service where reasonably necessary.
No promise of 100% uptime is made.
Changes to Premium
WorkPay may improve or modify features over time.
This clause is not a way to silently remove an essential paid benefit during an already-paid period where doing so would breach applicable consumer law.
Material pricing changes are communicated as required by law before becoming binding.
Intellectual property
WorkPay’s original site design, copy, software and branding are protected to the extent applicable by intellectual-property law.
Third-party trademarks, government material, references and sources remain the property of their respective owners.
Acceptable use
You must not intentionally: disrupt the service; attempt unauthorised access; abuse the APIs; circumvent Premium authorisation; upload malicious content; use automated traffic to manipulate advertising or analytics; or interfere with security controls.
Reasonable use of the calculators and the public content remains permitted.
Third-party services
WorkPay relies on third-party providers for payment, hosting, authentication, AI and advertising. Their services can be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
The involvement of a third party does not relieve WorkPay of its own responsibilities.
Accuracy and sources
WorkPay aims to use reliable sources, including official Irish sources where appropriate, and each page identifies the relevant tax year or verification date where useful.
Rules, tax bands, rates and employment-law information change. Verify time-sensitive information before relying on it for important decisions.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkPay is not responsible for losses caused solely by a user’s reliance on an estimate where the relevant inputs, assumptions or underlying circumstances differ from the actual payroll, tax or employment position.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by Irish law.
This clause is not a way to remove mandatory consumer protections available to you in another jurisdiction where the applicable law prevents that.
Changes to these Terms
WorkPay may update these Terms when the service changes or when required for legal or regulatory reasons. The “last updated” date at the top of this page is real and changes with the text.
Material paid terms are not altered retroactively without taking into account what applicable consumer law requires.
