Tax and employment disclaimer

What these tools can tell you and what they cannot.

These are estimates

Every result is worked out from the figures you enter and the rules published for the tax year you pick. It is not a payroll calculation.

What we cannot see

Your Revenue record, your actual credits, your assigned band, whether you are taxed cumulatively or on a week 1 basis, your PRSI class, your contribution history, your contract and any collective agreement that covers you. Any one of those can change the answer.

Not a legal finding

When the payslip checker flags a difference, or the breaks calculator marks a break below the minimum, that is a prompt to ask a question — not a finding that the law has been broken.

Where to go next

For your own situation: your payroll department, Revenue, the Department of Social Protection, the Workplace Relations Commission, Citizens Information, or a qualified adviser.
